PTA Meeting
December 5, 2014
8:30 AM
Called to Order: PTA President, Tanya Huber
In Attendance: Jennifer Jennings, Jenny Wadsworth, Tanya Huber, Kristi Wilson, Jill George, Brenda Wilkins, Holly Ringwood, and Patricia Wellisch
Pledge: With school over the intercom
Minutes: Tanya motioned to approve minutes from November. Seconded by Patricia.
Motioned passed.
Treasurer’s Report: Patricia
· Red ribbon week went well. There is only $11 left in the budget from it.
· The money from the directory needs to be granted to the school to have it printed.
Fundraiser: Karen Goodfellow
· The candy bars from Innis are selling for $1.00 each with 50% profit from the school. Tanya brought samples for us to try. It was agreed they are good.
· Information we still need from Karen: Can we return unopened boxes? How far ahead do we need to order the boxes? What is the reorder time? Does the student get a prize after selling their first case? Do we pay for the prizes or are they sponsored by Innis? What is the shipping cost for 100 boxes? Can we make our own assorted box? Do they create the original permission slips for the students or do we need to?
· We need to write a note for the teachers about the boxes. We will have to hand them out at the first of school when the money is turned in. The teachers will need somewhere in their classroom they can store them during the day. We can write the student’s name on the outside of the box so they don’t get mixed up.
· We want to give prizes as follows:
o Top Sellers: Plinko game with money prizes
o Top Class: Pizza Party
o Top Grade: First to Lunch
o School Goal: Dunking Booth
Reflections: Patricia and Tonya
· Awards for the council were on Thursday, December 4th. We had five students from our school win an award. Two of them will move on to district.
Spirit Night: Tanya
· November 18th at Café Zupas
· We made $228.48. It went well
Birthday Table: Jill
· Going well. The next one is on December 17th.
· In January the birthday table date will move to the third Tuesday until at least March.
